What values did your parents pass on to you?

My parents passed on their socio-liberal views to me. They have a strong commitment to ethics and fairness. They both worked in fields where public institutions employed them. They advocate for social tolerance and social systems that provide for citizens and the populace. I find that I value the same things. They also passed on their interests in the arts, food and travel.
