Our adoption agency case manager is in Ethiopia right now. She volunteered to deliver a “care package” to little dude while she was there. The deal was that it had to fit into a gallon sized ziplock bag. We sent a couple of onezies, a blanket, a couple of rattles that used to belong to a nephew, and a picture of each of us that J had put together. It’s hard to imagine that something we’ve held in our hands will actually be in his world for the first time.

After I found out about Z's death, I went into research mode. Many things
happened, and the long and the short of it is that our family now has
connections...

ReplyDeleteLove the pics you sent; perfect for your baby boy to gaze at! Maybe they are giving them to our children right now! Can't wait til Megan gets back; hope they are having an excellent trip!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet little care package! So exciting! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's so cool. I too would have been totally thinking about the fact that those things that were with me will soon be with him. How exciting! Oh my gosh...it will be time to go and get him before you know it! :)
